What is responsible? Who's responsible? What can we do? What have you done to protect your situation?

I agree with you. However, I also think African's should take responsibility of their own lives. I don't doubt that the government has a very huge influence over how we live, but I think we can make a difference if we start making choices on our own that help us to get ahead.

I would like to know what everyone else thinks!

I do agree that the level of education is very wanting in Africa. The kind of orientation and preoccupation of many of our Africa leaders is to create a society that is friendly to them.A society that hardly raises a finger to all that they do.That is way they can hardly think of making the educational ground level to all.Educational systems in Africa are wanting. The need to be reformed to conform with the dynamics of the 21st c.The many bottle-necks that make it impossible for many students to access educational funding should be eliminated.Funding educational research should be a top priority by the African governments.Empowering women through education is not enough if we do not give them the necessary educational resources that they need. For us to move forward academically,we need to redifine the myths that surround education.

and wants to go on remote areas and to take the haredship? I think this also main problem in African Eduction. But when we see it, there are alot of

I do agree with the observations made above. However, one major problem that seems dogging African education is the master syndrome.African education up to date has not been delinked from the tenets of the colonial masters.many of the eduactional policies in many African Countries were set by their colonizers and the African leaders have not had the pedigree to identify what they want hence set up new policies depending on the African need.African leaders need to wake up from their slumber and do the needful. The world is moving very fast and we need an education system which not only meets the demands of the changing world but also that which can satisfy the African citizenry.
